Part-II Mental slavery of Indian intellectuals

Part-II
Mental slavery of Indian intellectuals

The mental slavery of academics has not only robbed them of their capacity of looking at things as they are but also that of taking the challenges head on for enquiry. The result is they behave more like vote-seeking identity-sensitive politicos. We need to look at all this -from constitution to middle class mindset-from theological perspectives that are more revealing and helpful in decoding the SLAVISH MENTALITY of academics than the dominant (tools).
Will you be able to justify VALMIKI, VYAS, VIDUR, KABIR, DADU, RAJA SUHALDEV PASSI, AMBEDKAR etc as DALITS on any reasonable parameters? If they were depressed (Dalit), then who else can be liberated? Dalit is a COLONIAL artificial construct to justify or put under the wraps the damage done to the Indian society by the British Missionaries and Rulers. You will know it once you compare the ECONOMIC, EDUCATIONAL and Caste Variables in 1750s and those in 1940s.
Today, you can replace British with American and the logic remains the same. Most of the Leftist NGOs supporting the AFZALPREMIGANG are funded by the US agencies including so called FAITH BASED ORGANIZATIONS!
From Prof Devi to Jayati Ghosh to Nivedita Menon et al.
Even Thapar's Krug Chair fellowship resulted from the same objective of rejecting the time tested diversity in unity while blowing out of proportions the diversities as non-negotiable mutually exclusive identities. This also explains the current ideological unity of the  Left-Evangelist-Dalit scholarship which is more driven by  SOCIAL-ECO DISRUPTION than DATA-BASED enquiry.
To better understand all this, along with interdisciplinary friends including medicos and software engineers, we are working on a project MANUFACTURING CASTE: COMMUNICATING CASTE . Have delivered a few lectures in JNU, Allahabad etc too. It has generated tremendous interest and questions. One thing is sure: The LEFT-LIBERAL-EVANGELIST hegemony is on way out thanks to INTERNET and Mobile and you find an interdisciplinary scholarship,  that rooted in India with Indian interests in mind, emerging.

A friend objected to this:
Respected Prof Singh please keep this platform limited to Media and Communication Research and Education.

My response:
...we must be focused on our own CASTE of COMMUNICATION so that the challenge of  COMMUNICATING CASTE can be taken up in a SECULARLY deintellectualized policy  environment marked by MANUFACTURING CASTE.
If it (CASTE OF COMMUNICATION) still doesn't make sense,  them we can look for a time-tested colonial category of DENOTIFIED CASTE of COMMUNICATION!
Sincere apologies if such posts lead to Constipated response borne out of Cognitive
Desonance as a result of superimposing Western(hence Secular) concept of Manipulative RHETORICS on  INCLUSIVE Hindu (hence Communal) concepts of Sadharnikaran and Sahridaya!
